Functionality offers a Grand way to live

Luxury lifestyles are accommodated in the Grand Viera Homes mission statement as Liane Kelly, part of the team with husband Mark, says: “We aim to create homes to suit lifestyles; generally functional, easy-living approaches. We integrate and assist in meeting our clients’ requirements and work on a personal, one-to-one relationship. We like to give clients a good building experience and a quality product at the end that they’re impressed and happy with.”

Here, the client’s plan for this green-title block has been put into place. To maximise the space on what is a smallish block of about 450sqm, the garage is an undercroft, with two levels above it.

On the ground floor is a main bedroom, or as Ms Kelly explains: “The house has two main bedrooms, really; this one has the same features reflected upstairs.”
Beyond the study, home theatre, kitchen-dining-sitting room layout is a backyard bounded by a brushwood fence. There is no lawn in the strict sense of the term. There is green aplenty but it is astro turf. “It is an easily maintained house.”

The kitchen has a CaesarStone bench in an L shape, ample cupboard and pantry space and soft-closing drawers.

The study and home theatre are carpeted but the remainder of the home has timber flooring. Crossing the blackbutt to the stairway, the stainless steel of wire and handrail in the balustrade leads upstairs to three bedrooms.

The alternative main bedroom has a balcony overlooking parkland and a small sitting room links to two minor bedrooms with built-in robes with mirror sliders. This is a fine example of what a good working team can offer. The “Viera” refers to a Mediterranean lifestyle and this home reflects the style on a grand scale.
