Quality, space reign in this Grand design

Judging from the builder’s own home, there is a lot of timeless quality in this Marmion family home by Grand Viera Homes. Mark and Liane Kelly are proud of their new home that easily accommodated their four children and occasional guests with an innovative floor plan that provides several distinct living zones.
The 29m-wide block is mostly taken up with the front elevation that is finished in an earthy render, cedar-lined eaves and slate tiles.

The wide, double timber and glass entry doors are well balanced by wide stone steps that flow upwards from the front garden. There is a parents’ wing on one side of the entry with the children’s zone on the other while big living spaves extend at the back.

A library or sitting room adjoins the main suite with his-and-her walk-in robes and a luxury ensuite with a deep rectangular spa.

The powder room has an external cedar door to allow guests access form the back pool area.

The children’s wing is up a step from the main hallway with its own entry foyer leading to three bedrooms and a big activity room. There is a shared bathroom with a separate powder room that has a two-way door to the family rooms.

A guest bedroom, close to the kitchen, has an ensuite with a cedar door to the pool area. The modern kitchen is finished with white stone benchtops, timber veneer cupboards, a wide range of storage units and stainless-steel appliances.

The dining and living spaces alongside are extra big and overlook an alfresco area and outdoor pool deck with stacking glass doors and bi-fold doors for maximum impact.

The home has been designed to be passive-solar and for maximum privacy.

An underground garage for gour cars also includes a cellar.

There is a home theatre off the family rooms, ducted reverse-cycle air-conditioning and a resort-style lap pool with solar heating.
